Microsoft Teams Interview Tips: Audio, Share, and Answer Timing

Microsoft Teams is the default interview platform for many enterprise companies. It handles audio, video, and screen sharing differently from Zoom or Meet — and those differences affect how you set up MentionBell for a Teams interview.

  • Headphones are fine — interviewer audio is captured digitally

  • Better audio quality than mic mode in noisy environments

Recommendation: System audio mode is more reliable on Teams because Teams often routes audio through specific output devices that mic mode may not capture cleanly.

Teams Screen Sharing: What Gets Shared

Teams offers several share options, and interviewers choose differently:
