About
Why this exists
Interviews stopped being a test of whether you can do the job.
Hiring in the last few years has drifted a long way from the work. Candidates with a decade of shipped systems behind them are asked to invert a binary tree from memory, recall the exact wording of a framework they last used in 2019, or narrate a story in a structure they were never told to use. People who would be excellent at the job lose it in the ninety seconds where their mind goes blank.
MentionBell exists for those ninety seconds. It listens, works out what was actually asked, and puts an answer on your screen — built from your own CV, in your own experience, before the silence turns into a verdict. It is not there to make you sound like someone else. It is there so the version of you that turns up under pressure is closer to the one that does the job.
We are a small, self-funded team. There is no investor deadline shaping what we build, which is why the product has no credit meter and no upsell tier for the feature you actually came for. One price, everything included, for as many interviews as you need.
Your words, not ours
Every answer is grounded in the CV you upload. The product will not invent an employer, a metric or a technology you never touched — because getting caught in a fabricated claim is worse than pausing.
No meter running
Interviews overrun and nobody schedules a follow-up round around your credit balance. One price, unlimited sessions. We would rather be judged on whether people renew.
Invisible by design
Your computer keeps MentionBell out of anything it captures, so it never reaches a share, a recording or a screenshot. Stealth mode goes further and moves answers to your phone, leaving nothing at all on the machine you are sharing.
Where we draw the line
MentionBell is for recalling what you already know, structuring an answer, and getting past a blank. It is not a way to pass yourself off as an engineer you are not. Use it to claim experience you do not have and it will fail you — not because we police it, but because a grounded answer needs a real CV underneath it, and the follow-up question always comes.
